Senior Financial Manager
Oversees financial planning, budgeting, and strategic analysis to support organizational growth and ensure fiscal health Manages financial reporting, compliance, and risk while guiding cross-functional teams in cost-effective decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain financial forecasts, budgets, and cash-flow analyses
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, offering strategic recommendations to executive leadership
- Oversee internal controls, compliance measures, and risk management strategies
- Collaborate with department heads to optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency
- Coordinate external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting as required
- Evaluate investment opportunities and capital expenditures, providing financial justifications
- Mentor junior finance staff, promoting best practices and professional development
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including management roles
- Proficiency in financial analysis, modeling, and forecasting
- Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS standards and financial compliance
- Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Proven track record in budget planning and risk mitigation
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MBA or MS in Finance) or CPA/CMA certification
- Experience in AI, tech, or resource-based industries
- Background in mergers and acquisitions or capital-raising activities
